Snoop Dogg, is an American rapper and actor and his real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. He was Born on October 20, 1971 in Long Beach, California, U.S. he rose to fame solo single, “Deep Cover”, and has since sold over 23 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums worldwide. He has won several awards, including an American Music Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and has been nominated for 17 Grammy Awards.
Snoop Dogg’s debut album “Doggystyle” produced by Dr. Dre was released by Death Row Records in 1993, debuted at number one on both the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, sold 800,000 copies in its first week, and was certified quadruple-platinum in 1994.
It featured the hit singles “What’s My Name?” and “Gin and Juice”. In 1994, his film Death Row Records released a soundtrack for the short film Murder Was the Case, which was also produced by Broadus. In 1996, Snoop Dogg released his second album, Tha Doggfather, which also debuted at number one on both charts.
