Simran Bagga born Rishibhama -Naval, also known mononymously as Simran, is an Indian actress, producer, and television personality. She has predominantly appeared in Tamil language films as well as Telugu language films as well as a few Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada films.

She was born in Mumbai on 4th April 1976 and has spent most of her childhood there. Although Simran initially aspired to become a fashion designer, she accepted to join the Indian film industry as a result of her fame as the presenter of the series Superhit Muqabla, she made her Bollywood debut in Sanam Harjai (1995). Also started After working in a few Hindi films as well, she had her first hit film Tere Mere Sapne (1996) opposite Arshad Warsi. Subsequently, she made her debut in South Indian cinema in 1996 with the Malayalam film Indraprastham and also starred in her first film in Kannada, Simhada Maari, and the Telugu film, Abbai Gari Pelli, the following year.

She was born in Mumbai as Rishibhama Naval, to Punjabi parents; Her father is Ashok Naval and her mother is Sharda. And Simran has two sisters, Monal and Jyoti Naval and a brother named Sumit. She graduated from St. Anthony’s High School in Versova and completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree in Mumbai itself. She also speaks Punjabi, Hindi, English and Tamil. Simran is also a trained dancer in Bharatanatyam and can play Salsa.

She married her childhood family friend Deepak in 2003 as well. They also have two sons, Adheep and Adit.

In March 2002 she signed on to endorse Fanta, Coca-Cola’s sour orange drink. And also according to a company spokesperson, “movie stars touch different sectors to establish a direct relationship with the brand”. The ad was also designed by Lowe and directed by filmmaker Latha Menon.

In the same year, Jyoti Labs also launched Jiva soap with Simran to endorse the brand and endorsement. And on June 4, 2008, PepsiCo announced that Simran would be the new brand ambassador of Kurkure in the South Indian market as well, joining sponsor Juhi Chawla. But she was also chosen as the brand ambassador for Cadila Healthcare’s Sugar Free Gold hypo-sugar option. She is also associated with General Mills India for Pillsbury Flour and has appeared in several television commercials.

In an interview, she also talked about working predominantly in Tamil films, saying that Tamil is my favorite industry and I feel most comfortable here. I also prefer to stay in hotels when I shoot in other states. But I had also decided to buy a house in Chennai because I consider it home. In this sense, I am also closest to Tamil language and culture. I am 100% Tamil girl. And so I haven’t even thought of another industry for my production house.
