Rana Ranbir is a Punjabi actor, comedian, host, and writer. He is a very famous Punjabi actor and has proved to be a boon for the Punjabi film industry as well. Rana Ranbir was born on 9 April 1970 in Punjab itself. He did his graduation from Desh Bhagat College, Dhuri. Later he also obtained a post-graduation degree in Theater Television from Panjab University, Patiala.
Presently he lives in Patiala with his wife Devinder Rana, son Waris and daughter. Devinder and Rana were married on 9 October. When he was studying in college, he wrote a book, ‘Sach Soch Te Sapne’. Rana is also a very good poet. Rana is also known as Shampi Puttar and has done many stage shows, radio shows, and films. Kehar Singh Di Maut, Bhagwant Maan Naughty No. 1 and Jugnu Kehna Hai are some of his radio shows.
He has also done many stage performances. These include Mirza Sahiba, Loha Kutt, and Annay Nishanchi. He is also mainly known for his comedy acting. However, his serious roles have also contributed to his success. He has done serious roles in Parchhawain and Chitta Lahu.
He has also done some roadshows like Excuse Me Please and Jugnu Mast Mast in Punjab along with Bhagwant Maan. Excuse Me Please being the oldest show of Zee Punjabi was also started by Jagmeet Bal which has become a very popular Punjabi TV show. Ranbir is the anchor of this roadshow. Also in 2014, he did a stage show called Khaitan Da Putt at Mahila College Dev Samaj.
The show was premiered in Canada. It was also the story of famous poet Avtar Singh Sandhu. It was also an impressive role played by Rana in imitating the true essence of the character.
