She was born in a Punjabi family in Chandigarh, India, and follows Sikhism as her religion. Isha is the daughter of Poonam Rikhi and the sister of Mani Rikhi and Reema Rikhi. She studied at Shishu Niketan Model Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, India, and then went to Panjab University to pursue higher studies.
