About Dr Zeus
Baljit Singh Padam, popularly known as Dr Zeus in the world of music, was born on March 20, 1976. He is originally Punjabi. His family remained in Birmingham, UK, where he was born and did his schooling. He is married to a ‘Punjabi Kudi’.
He has also been associated with a film by people called Dr. Zeus, in which he composed music for some of the tracks. Dr Zeus signed with the Envy Music label in 1999, where he began his career. Here he produced “Pure Garage – Sue My Ass” by Balwinder Singh Safary and “Deathjam 4.5”, a part of the Deathjam series.
His first solo album was “High Life” which was also released in 2001 with Amar Arshi as vocalist. And his next releases were “Unda Da Influence” also in 2003 and “The Original Edit” also in 2005 where Lehmber Hussainpuri’s voice was recorded for the songs. And his next solo album was “The Street Remix” in 2006 and contains remix versions of his biggest hits.
The song ‘Sat Shree Akal’ from his next album “Back Unda Da Influence” has also been one of the biggest hits in the industry and has secured the No. 1 position on the BBC Asian Network charts. He has also given music for films.
“Daddy Kool Munde Fool” and “Jatt Boyz Putt Jatta De” are also some Punjabi films. “Chaar Din Ki Chandni”, “Mad About Dance” and the recently released “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karu” are Hindi films in which he has composed music. ‘Lovely Kamli’ from ‘Happy New Year’, ‘Tipsy Hogai’ Girlfriend’ from ‘Dilliwali Zaalim’ and ‘Desi Look’ from ‘Ek Paheli Leela’ are some of his other musical compositions in Bollywood.
Some of his recently produced albums are ‘Immortal’ with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, ‘Yaariyan’ with Manpreet Sandhu, ‘Twelve’. Bilal Saeed has sung in ‘Duniya’ with Sarabjit Cheema, ‘Rabb Sajna’ with Aman Sarang and ‘Judaa 2’ with Aminder Gill.
His most famous works are ‘Kangana’, ‘Ruff’ and ‘Jugni Ji’. They went viral on the internet and made a good place on the charts. He has announced his next album “Unda Da Influence 3”, which is likely to be released in 2016.
