Dhriti Saharan is a beautiful Indian actress from Punjab. She was born in Kolkata and brought up in Mumbai. She has acted in Bengali, Punjabi and Telugu films. She is a Punjabi film actress and singer. She has graduated in engineering but She wanted to go to Bollywood. She is the most successful Punjabi actress who hit the silver screen with “Pure Punjabi” (a Punjabi film) which was critically and even commercially successful. And she started her career with this Punjabi film and then acted in the Telugu film film ‘Love Touch’.
At present also she is married to an actor Jayanthi Reddy. Her husband is also a businessman and belongs to a political family from Hyderabad. She was dating Jayanth Reddy for a long time and got married recently. She decided to continue acting after marriage. After graduation, she sent her portfolio to many production houses in Mumbai. For her character of ‘Sharon’ in the Punjabi film ‘Pure Punjabi’, she had to attend theater workshops conducted by theater actor Samuel John. After the film ‘Pure Punjabi’, she got another project ‘Sadda Haq’, for which she also received the Best Actress Award. It was only later that she got an opportunity to act in the Telugu film ‘Love Touch’ (2013), in which she was paired opposite Jayanth.
Later Jayanth Reddy, the hero of the same ‘Love Touch’ film, married Dhriti and became a true husband in personal life. After steadily gaining recognition in Punjabi films, she appeared in the Punjabi-Bengali bilingual Teri Meri Ik Jindri. With Partho Ghosh. The name of the film in Bengali was ‘Hashi Kannar Iti Kotha’. She also appeared in a Dish TV commercial opposite Shahrukh Khan (King Khan), which was also a memorable experience for her.
