About Rishi Rich
Rishi Rich is a popular music producer. He was born as Rishpal Singh Rekhi in Croydon, England, his family loves him very much, he lives in London. He started his career in the Asian underground until he gained worldwide popularity for his Bhangra tracks, Indian R&B fusion music and Hindi remixes. He has co-produced and worked with many talented Asian artists in the UK. And also in 2003, he signed a management contract with the independent record label, 2Point9 Records.
It was only then that he founded the Rishi Rich Project, which aims to showcase aspiring artists. It also became popular in the Asian underground scene, where he also popularized Indian R&B fusion. And the first single of the Rishi Rich project titled Dance With You (Nachna Tere Naal) was released in the year 2003, and also featured Jay Sean and Juggy D. The song also won the UK Asian Music Award for Best Single R&B in 2003 and has charted at number two on the Dutch Top 40 and number 12 on the UK Singles Chart.
In 2007, he moved to 2Point9 Records, which also marked the end of the Rishi Rich project. Since then, Jay Sean and Juggy D have become one of the most successful artists in Asia and the UK respectively. The Rishi Rich Project was reunited with the duo in 2015 for the single, Freak Together. and Richie’s debut solo album Simply Rich, which also proved to be a huge success in Asia. He has worked very hard for his career.
